Architecture vs REAL ESTATE PHOTOGRAPHY - What's the difference?

Architecture / Commercial

- Quality is key: Time is relative so we shoot until we get the job done.

- Timing is everything: Working alongside natural light, busy business schedules, or other tricky obstacles, we ensure the photos meet your intended vision.

- Quality is still key: Time is of the essence with a full shoot typically completed in under 1hr and images processed and delivered the following day.

Ultra Res Vs High Res?

Ultra Resolution

Images are captured using the Bugatti Chiron of cameras (essentially the most high-tech system available), Phase One's XF camera paired to an IQ3 100MP Medium Format digital back and accompanying high-IQ lenses.

High Resolution

Don't be fooled by the nay-sayers: Your images get their best start at life with the beautiful dynamic range and resolution provided by Nikon's Full Frame D810 36MP. Add to that some quality glass and you likely won't notice the difference here anymore than between a safety razor and a straight-edge. 

It is a known fact to any photographer worth their film, that the limiting factor to any great image is rarely the equipment they use but rather the photographer themselves. No amount of high tech gear or time spent editing will ever recover a poorly lit or ill-composed photo. We work hard to nail all the important details in camera and having the best equipment to work with means that you get to see the fruits from that extra attention to detail... assuming there were fruits in the photo to begin with.

How Many photos will I get?

Architectural / Commercial

A large selection of photos will be captured (approximately 5-15 photos more than your selected package) in order to give you a solid range of final images to chose from. From there you get to hand pick exactly the number of images from your selected package that we will then edit with a fine-toothed comb, and... software. Don't forget about the software.

Real Estate

Every building is unique, as such, you will receive as many photos as is necessary to best capture each project, up to the number listed within your selected package. Since it can happen that some houses might need just that one or two extra photos and others just don't need the full amount, we like to apply a +/- 10% general rule of thumb. Sometimes you might get a touch less, sometimes a touch more.

All photos are delivered without watermarks in an online format for immediate download. The resolution of the images delivered will depend on the product package selected.

  • Print Resolution of 4000 x 2667 pixels

Real Estate Single Listing + Commercial:

  • Web resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels
  • Print Resolution of 4000 x 2667 pixels

Architectural Commercial High Resolution:

  • Web resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels
  • Print Resolution of 4000 x 2667 pixels
  • Full Resolution cropped but non-resized image up to 7360 x 4912 pixels

Architectural Commercial Ultra Resolution:

  • Web resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels

  • Full Resolution cropped but non-resized image up to 11,608 x 8708 pixels

 

How will my photos be delivered?

IS there a difference in the way you Shoot between Commercial and Non Commercial packages?

Architectural / Commercial

In short, yes.

The shoot will be moulded towards the style of images that you are looking to showcase.

Great attention to light, lines, colours and visual mass are applied while keeping in mind additional key components that all contribute to the final mood and style.

Real Estate

Yes. Methodically and quickly.

Typically, we shoot to maximize visible areas, providing a wide perspective with properly composed images to help guide prospective buyers through your home.

How Do I book My shoot with you?

Payment for all shoots is due at time of booking.

We will do our best to accommodate your schedule however additional fees for missed, cancelled or re-scheduled bookings may apply for any bookings with less than 48hrs notice.
